My first week at home

Well things went pretty well this week. Mommy and I are learning how to breastfeed together and I think we're getting the hang of it. I also got my first baath at home. Grandma Wallace came to visit me on Saturday, and Grandpa joined her on Wednesday. Mom should be able to get a nap in but honestly I'm not sure she trusts anyone else to look after me without her quite yet!
I had my first Dr's appt this week...I weighed 8lbs 3oz and she thought I looked great so I don't have to go back for a whole month.

So it turns out I don't like being wet and naked and cold. I do, however, like my snuggly alligator towel from Daddy's Aunt Mary and Uncle Jim!

Meeting the grandparents

I like these people! They never mess with my diaper region, they don't try to put me to bed...they just want to hold me all the time, and they bring me presents! Mommy said this is only half the grandparents too...I can't wait to meet more :)

Going home...

We got to go home today so I could check out my new room. Mom and Dad were very concerned about what the cats would think, but they didn't seem to care very much about me at all.

Here I Am!!!

Mom started having some uncomfortable contractions after her Dr's appt on Tuesday, April 22 in the afternoon. She did her clinic that afternoon like usual but continued to have irregular uncomfortable contractions. She went to meet her friend Rita as planned for pedicures after work at 5:45 and things remained a little unpleasant then, from a uterine sense :)

She and Rita went to meet Kara at the movies and halfway through Forgetting Sarah Marshall Mommy had to stand up against the wall because she was so uncomfortable with her contractions which were then every 3 minutes! After the movie she called Daddy to meet her and headed to Labor & Delivery. Luckily she was already 3.5 cm dilated so they let her stay and we got admitted around 10pm!



Mommy got an epidural pretty quickly and labor went fast...she started getting really uncomfortable again around 4am but luckily she found out it was almost time to push so she didn't mind as much then. I made my appearance at 5:39 Wednesday morning, and after we went upstairs to postpartum I got my first bath ever.
