Power Outage, Poor Dad

What a handful Dad was while the cable and internet were out. Sure we had power, but the big guy would just not leave me alone. H?e even had me reading to him for entertainment. How sad is that when I can't really speak yet except for some cute gurgles and coos...

Then after the first day without cable, it just got worse. At first Dad gave me a spatula to bribe me, I really do like chewing on it but I am still learning exactly how much I can get into my mouth. I swear I think I can get more but I keep gagging. I ask you, how wrong is it to tickle someone who can't walk yet? I am glad things are fixed now because I could not take many more days like this one was...

Let sleeping dogs lie...

This is a picture of me in my first semi-successful night without my swaddler. Mom and Dad have tried to break me of it in the past but I have resisted...I guess I am finally growing up. Also, please, no comments on the size of me vs. the size of the bassinet. Mom's a little sensitive about the 'shouldn't he be moving to the crib by now' comments, ok?

There's nothing wrong with Ohio...except the snow, the rain, and the power outages!

Well sorry for my extended hiatus, but after the big wind storm (leftover Ike, so we were told), we had no power for 48 hours, and no cable or internet for 10 days! So I'm back, and I have so much to tell you.

First and foremost, I was recently visited by Grandma and Grandpa Wallace and Aunt Elizabeth. We had a great time together...they couldn't believe how cute I am (even I find it hard to believe sometimes) and how much fun it is to make me smile and giggle. We went and picked apples together and generally hung out around my (powerless) house. Also, big thanks to all the visitors for helping Mom save some of my frozen milk when the power went out by transporting it. A guy's gotta eat!

The latest development, of course, is that I have a tooth! Mom and Dad are happy to report that I had no teething trauma at all...Dad just noticed something biting on him one day when I was sucking his finger. Mom's also pretty glad she wasn't the first to discover it while I was eating :)
It is really cute but I'm giving the 'rents a hard time photographing it...honestly if something is in my mouth I just want to suck on it and slobber so they haven't had much success holding my mouth open with their fingers.

Enjoy the pics...

Look What I Found, and Look What They Can Do

As you can see I recently made a great discovery hanging off of the end of the thing that seems to anger dad at 4am. I wasn't sure what to do with them until I got put in this huge contraption.

I Got in Trouble

I think it was a bit overkill but Dad punished me today for an incident at 3am the other night. Since Mom told me to do it as he was changing me I do not think it is fair that I took the brunt of it. She should have to sit in the corner too.

Late entry....

So my Austin grandparents finally figured out the real way on to the blog...through Mommy! They came to visit me a few weeks ago (and brought me all kinds of treasures!) but only Dad had the pictures until now. As you can tell, we like to take visitors out to eat Mexican food when they come and then we take pictures afterwards. :)
The second picture is of Grandma B. making me giggle in my bumbo chair. Sometimes I get into a little laughing fit, which Mommy says is quite endearing.
