Merry Christmas!

Well...I know this post is very very delayed. The thing is, Mom's camera was lost...and now it has been relocated! So we have some time to make up for, I realize, but luckily I have been very cute in the last couple of months so I have plenty of material!

I got to spend Christmas with both sets of grandparents and my favorite (and only!) Aunt Elizabeth. Of course the 'rents were there too. I know some kids have to wait until they turn 16, but I got a CAR for Christmas! Don't be jealous. I also love to help Mommy in the kitchen so I got my very own apron and oven mitt so I can help even more. Also some new pots and pans for my kitchen. You will notice I was able to use all my gifts at once (and while wearing the new PJs Santa brought me too!)

I was also able to have my first white Christmas ever! Amazingly enough, despite having lived in Ohio the last 4 years, it was Mom's first white Christmas ever as well. Hope you enjoy the pics :)

Meeting Santa

I don't know why, but the kid in front of me and the kid behind me were wailing for their pic with Santa. I guess their Mom and Dad didn't explain what Santa does...I was pretty excited to meet such a swell guy! I am hoping for a stereo for Christmas. I hope the big guy comes through for me.

Uh-Oh!

My new favorite thing to say is "Uh-Oh." Since Mom and Dad respond so well and laugh each time I say it, I have started coming up with reasons to say Uh-Oh. Like knocking over and playing in the trash. Uh-oh.

Christmas Cookies!

Today Mom baked a loooot of cookies. All different kinds, even some vegan cookies for one of her co-workers! I liked them all. I wasn't very much help making them but whenever Mom put on her apron I wanted to put one on too. And whenever Mom put on her oven mitt I put one on to be available if needed. Mostly I just ate cookies, though.

I didn't win this time...

Well, it ended up as coffee table-1, Me-0. Mom wanted me to make sure I posted about the incident, though, for the phone call it inspired. Mom was on call and at the hospital on Thursday night when Dad called her cell phone and with me crying in the background asked, "How do I know when he needs stitches?"
Mom said she didn't like that phone call very much...

Christmas Tree Farm

Today we went to Elgin to get a Christmas tree! I got to spend Thanksgiving with both sets of grandparents and had a good time with everyone. I liked the desserts but not the turkey and cranberry sauce...maybe next year. Mom and Dad got a fence to put up around the tree...I'm not sure what they're so concerned about?

Hanging out with Mom

I love to read with Mom and usually as soon as we get home I grab a couple of books, back into her lap, and we start reading. My favorite right now is the Yo Gabba Gabba book but that is just because Mom sings the songs in it and I get to dance! The weather has been really nice lately and we have gotten to go to the park a few times. There is a pretend firetruck there that Mom lets me 'drive us around' in!

Happy Halloween

I dressed up as an ewok this year and had a really great time! We had a Halloween party at school and Mom and Dad got to come party and trick-or-treat with me. All of us dressed up and took a class picture together! I definitely understood the concept of getting candy out of the bowl and putting it in my bag. I even tried to get some candy out of another kid's bag to put into mine. It's a learning process...

Sick

Well I have been adjusting to going to school. I love being there and playing with my friends but Mom said I was only sick 1 time the rest of my whole life and now I have had at least 3 separate illnesses! Yuck. I am taking some yummy pink antibiotics for my ear right now, and more naps than usual, often with Daddy.

Playthings

I love the new kitchen Mom and Dad bought for me...I am in there cooking for everyone most of the time! I have to say, though, that the box it came in is equally entertaining...

Pumpkin Hunting

Well we heard about this great pumpkin patch so we went there this afternoon. It didn't quite turn out like we hoped. There were about 9 million other people there and it turns out they don't actually grow pumpkins, they just had some for sale. I had fun playing around there anyways, and I even got some homemade vanilla ice cream out of the deal!

Fall weather is here!

It has been really cool and rainy here over the weekend...Mom is glad because she has been missing her favorite Ohio season, Fall! I got to wear some of my new cold-weather clothes and Mom and Dad have been telling me how handsome I look...I am trying not to get a big head about it. We get to go get a pumpkin this week--I am not sure I understand this Halloween thing but I like to play outside so it should be fun!

The State Fair of Texas!

I had so much fun this weekend at the state fair. I didn't even have time to nap it was all so exciting. I got to sample my first corny dog, ate a little funnel cake, and got some yummy borden apple juice after I met Elsie the cow! I loved going to the baby petting zoo and petting the baby donkeys. We also found Big Tex's sand box and I got to play and make a big mess. I had fun all day but finally crashed as soon as Mom buckled my car seat...but not before I put on my dodge beaded necklace! I will post some more pictures later.
