Happy Halloween!

As many of you know, this peapod costume was the first item of clothing I ever owned. Yes, it was purchased by my ever-thrifty Mother last November on clearance when I was a mere fetus. Although it says it fits '0-9 months' it is clearly talking about some frail babies, because as you can see, it was tight when this picture was taken almost 6 weeks ago. Mom didn't force me back into it tonight, thank goodness!

Now THIS stuff is gooood

So it turns out Mom and Dad were holding out on me all this time. I wasn't being a brat, I just have discriminating taste! Rice cereal is for much less cultured babies, obviously. They finally gave in and let me have some of the butternut squash Mom cooked for me, and man is that stuff delicious! I open wide for the spoon full of that stuff! Mom made some carrots and applesauce for me too and I get to try those next week. I can hardly wait.

Gettin' a new car seat!

Well Daddy has decided that I am close to outgrowing my infant car seat. As usual, Mom is reluctant to let go. Here are a couple of pictures of me in my infant car seat (about 1 week ago). As you can see, I am pretty happy there and have no trouble sleeping either. Dad already put a big-boy car seat in his car for me but Mom's holding out!

Also, I am SIX MONTHS OLD today! Can you believe it? It's been a great 6 months...Mom says she can hardly remember life before me (like she would want to!)
SO here's a picture of me today on my 6 month birthday. I just know I am gonna crawl soon.

Yum-O!

So due to my increasing interest in whatever Mom and Dad are eating, they decided it was about time to start giving me something besides milk all the time. I got some rice cereal this weekend...and I don't think I like it! The folks tried to get all smart with me and mixed it up with milk, like I wouldn't know the difference. Ha.

Mom has started making me some homemade stuff...applesauce, squash, carrots...but I'm still not really down with the rice cereal yet so she is waiting it out. It's been a few days now and I still just let it sort of dribble out after they pop it in on a spoon. What else am I supposed to do?

Bye Bye Mullet...

Well, Dad finally broke Mom down and convinced her to give me my first haircut. I had it coming. I was a little squirmy so it isn't totally even...yu can see my before and after picture below. Mom left the little curls behind my ears. Dad doesn't like them but Mom recognizes how cute they are, thankfully.

Happy Fall!

The weather has really cooled off here, which we are enjoying. I have started wearing more long-sleeved stuff and jackets, which means lots of new cloth to suck on. Any time my jackets get near my mouth or touch my cheek, my tongue goes out like a 'feeler' to see if there's anything good to suck on.
We went to the pumpkin patch this weekend and picked out some pumpkins for the front porch...I loved hanging out there because I love to be outside.

Mom and Dad tried to take a picture of my teeth but it turned out pretty blurry. You can see it below if you want but they will try to take a better one!

Pre-Crawl Motivator

Dad has a new plan to plop me under this activity mat and let the music play on and on and on. His theory is that it will eventually become annoying enough and motivate me to crawl away. As you can see I am trying my best but the legs just don't quite yet work how they are supposed to.
